Strategic Affairs Executive Office

Strategic Affairs Executive Office is accountable to the University President. The office is located in the Main Campus of MeU in the new President.  The office has two teams’ one Planning and Budget preparation, monitoring and evaluation team, and Project administration and partnership coordination team.

Vision 

The Vision of Strategic Affairs Executive Office is initiating and coordinating the planning activities and allocation of resource for the effective utilization with the ultimate goal of enabling MeU to become one of the ten top-ranking universities in Ethiopia by 2030E.C.

Mission 

The main duty of the office is initiating and coordinating institutional goals introduced by the Ministry of Education as well as by MeU. Moreover, the office is responsible for preparing a strategic plan, annual plans, performance reports, preparing program budget plans, data collection and compilation as well as Monitoring and Evaluating works. 

In general, Strategic Affairs Executive Office has the following objectives:

• Prepare & revise the strategic plan of the University in collaboration with the concerned bodies of the University.
• Prepare the annual lead plan of the University based on the plans from each work unit & the strategic plan.
• Prepare program budget plans of the University based on the plans from each work unit.
• Coordinate Stakeholders engagement in planning, Monitoring and Evaluation process. 
• Monitor the implementation of the plans, identify the problems faced while implementing the plans & design strategies to solve them and present the solutions to the University management for approval & implementation.
• Prepare periodic, comprehensive and organized performance reports of the University.
• Prepare program budget performance report of the University based on financial performance.
• Follow up on the progress of construction projects of the university together with the Construction and Maintenance Directorate.

·         The office leads and coordinates different evaluation mechanisms to assess the status of the strategic plan progress and targets set at outcome or impact level. 

• Manage and publish data for policy and public reference.
• Analyze data and consult decision making at university level.
• Provide training for leaders and experts about plan preparation, report writing and various types of data recording and reporting.
• Perform related additional duties given from the president.
